Fraser Chinook July 09

Well Chinook season is upon us.  With the Fraser opening on June 16th and the fish just starting to come through it was a little slow to start.  The river is still very high and dirty and with little to no bars open yet you are limited to bottom bouncy at scale bar or trying to bar rig fish.  The bouncer’s are obviously having more success with lots of fish being caught most days.  The bar rig fisherman are still having a tough time but are getting fish as well.   As the Fraser drops and clears up the bar rig fishing will definitely improve so stay with it.  Lots of chinook are showing up in the test fishery and now a few sockeye to boot.  Tight lines and happy times summer is here and so are the fish.
