Trout Fly line.  Rio Nymph line is ideal for nymph fishing under all conditions, whether indicator,Czech, high stick or dead drift nymphing.  The taper design has a long back taper and body for easy roll casting, mending, and fly control that enhances casting weighted nymphs, indicators and big air-resistant flies.  The Nymph line has a high visibilty tip which acts as a built in strike indicator.WF4F-WF5F: 90ft    Lt. green and Dk. Trout Fly line.  This taper was designed especially for western rivers where delicate presentations are required in windy conditions.  Accurate casts can be made with the Windcutter II with just the tip of the rod for a very tight loop; for windy conditions or when distance is needed, the thick belly will load the butt section of graphite rods.  The Super Flotation Tip, with a welded loop, acts as an indicator to detect subtle takes when fishing emergers subsurface and also facilitates quick leader changes.WF3F-WF5F:  90ft     Yellow & SageWF6F-WF8F: 100ft     Yellow & Sage

Lake fly line.  A must have line for the serious lake angler.  Castability has always been a problem with clear intermediate sinking lines because there are no lubricants in the coating and the lines drag through the guides.  Rio has solved the problem by incorporating proprietary lubricants and XS technology (new for 2009) into the translucent green running line that make the line incredibly slick.  The head remains completely clear.  With an intermediate sinking rate of 1.5-2.0 inches per second, the line is perfect for fishing subsurface and shallow shore lines – ideal when stealth is required for wary, selective fish.  Made on a low memory supple core with a coldwater coating and welded loop on the front end.WF3I-WF5I:  90ft    Clear head with green tint running lineWF6I-WF9I: 100ft    Clear head with green tint running line

Specialty Fly Line. Made specifically for the casting demands of steelhead and atlantic salmon fly fishing.  The long belly and long back taper were developed for easy, controlled mends, roll casting and single handed spey casting.  A bullet front taper turns over bombers, indicators and other large flies with ease.  With the Agent X Technology it’s easy for the angler to lift the line off the water and the new XS Technology results in extremely long casts.  The line has a welded loop on the front for easy rigging and for converting the line into an instantaneous sink tip by attaching one of Rio’s VersiLeaders.WF5F-WF10F     110ft     Yellow

Specialty Fly Line.  Casting heavy or wind resistant flies has always been a challenge, even for good casters.  The Clouser line, with its unique reverse compound taper and a bullet front taper, turns over heavy flies into the wind without effort and smoothly transfers energy to prevent the characteristic “kick” with heavily weighted flies.  The Clouser line includes the Rio proprietary welded loop on the tip for quick leader changes and is made with AgentX and XS Technology.

Tropical Saltwater fly line.  The Saltwater I/I line is a full intermediate (1.5ips) line with a green tint and a 9.5 ft clear tip.  It is a great line for laid-up fish that are a little deeper in the water column or for keeping in touch with the fly in choppy water.  Based on the Clouser taper it is the perfect full intermediate line for fishing in warmer climes.WF6I/I – WF12I/I      100 ft      Green tint with 9.5ft clear tip

Striped Bass Lines.  This line has a low memory, supple core and a coldwater coating formulation as well as a translucent intermediate running line, with XS Technology, and a 26ft density compensated sinking head that will put your fly in the strike zone.  Includes welded loop on both ends.Available in 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450 or 550 grains     100ft

VersiTip Fly line.  A must for the angler traveling for anadromous species.  This is the interchangeable head version of the density compensated 24ft sink tip with a loop at the 24ft head for interchangeability.  This line has a thick floating body to help turn over the heavy density head.  The Dredger is used mostly for coldwater and comes with 200, 300 and 400 grain heads, head wallet and body.Addtional heads in 150, 250, 500 and 600 grains may be purchased seperately.     100ft     Yellow
